Output Shaft Support Bearing Selection

A dial depth gauge or equivalent, is required for the following procedure.

Ensure output bearing (86), is completely seated in its bore. Ensure bearing retainer (88) is properly tightened.

A selected shim can be 0.001 inch above or 0.004 inch below the end plate mounting surface.

1. Measure distance between end plate mounting surface and outer race of output shaft bearing (86).

2. Select an appropriate shim from selective shim chart.
