1. Raise and support vehicle. Support rear suspension with suitable jack.
2. Remove rear wheel and tire assembly.
3. Disconnect brake lines from axle brackets.
4. Disconnect stabilizer bar at axle assembly, if equipped, Fig.3 .
5. Remove shock absorber to lower mounting bracket attaching bolts, then disconnect shock absorbers from axle assembly, Fig.1 and 2 .
6. Disconnect parking brake cable.
7. Carefully lower rear axle assembly and remove coil springs and insulators.
8. If equipped, disconnect ABS electrical connector and mount clip.
9. Disconnect brake lines at left and right hand wheels.
10. Remove control arm to underbody bracket bolts, then lower the axle assembly and remove from vehicle.
11. Reverse procedure to install and bleed brake system.
