Installation

Hydraulic Unit To Cowl:

Master Cylinder Power Unit Assembly:

1. Install hydraulic unit to the pushrod bracket.
2. Install two hydraulic unit mounting bolts to the pushrod bracket.
^ Tighten hydraulic unit mounting bolts to 50 Nm (37 lbs. ft.).
3. Install rear half of the pushrod to the front half.
^ Thread the two halves together.
^ Reposition the dust boot.
4. Install pushrod to the brake pedal.
^ Tighten pushrod to brake pedal nut to 37 Nm (27 lbs. ft.).
5. Install four brake pipes to the valve block and hydraulic unit.
^ Tighten brake pipe nuts to 15 Nm (11 lbs. ft.).
6. Install energy unit to hydraulic unit.
7. Install pump mounting bolt.
8. Install pressure hose and O rings to pump.
9. Install pressure hose bolt to pump.
^ Tighten pressure hose bolt to 20 Nm (15 lbs. ft.).
10. Install return hose to pump.
^ Push return hose fitting into pump body.
11. Install wire clip to return hose fitting.
12. Install electrical connections to the hydraulic unit.
13. Install negative battery cable.
14. Bleed hydraulic system. Refer to Bleeding. Without ABS System
