CONDITION:
A creak type noise in the windshield area may be noticed on the subject vehicles. This noise is more common in temperatures 32 degrees F and lower with low humidity.

CAUSE:
The creak noise is caused by the lower edge of the windshield being in hard contact against the cowl screen.

CORRECTION:





To correct this condition, remove the cowl screen and install 3M 5430 Squeak Reduction Tape (3M P/N 06356) or equivalent in the area shown in the illustration.
