Test O: E/M Switch Output Test

1. Disconnect Instrument Cluster connector C1. Put the Ignition Switch in RUN, turn on the Air Conditioning, and observe the HVAC Temperature.
^ If the temperature is in °F, go to step 2.
^ If the temperature is in °C, check the LT BLU (811) wire for a short to ground. Also check that the export ground BLK (154) wire has not been included at terminal C6 of the HVAC Programmer. If so, cut it. Replace/repair as necessary.
2. With the Ignition Switch in RUN, connect a fused jumper between the Instrument Cluster connector C1 terminal A3 and ground. Observe the HVAC display.
^ If the temperature is displayed in C, replace the Instrument Cluster.
^ If the temperature is not displayed in C, check the LT BLU (811) wire for an open. If OK, replace the HVAC Programmer.
