Oil Pan: Service and Repair

Oil Pan:

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the oil level sensor connector.
2. Remove the oil pan retaining bolts.
3. Remove the oil pan and discard the formed rubber oil pan gasket.
4. Clean the oil pan and cylinder block mating surfaces.

INSTALLATION
1. New formed rubber oil pan gasket to oil pan flange.
2. Install the oil pan and torque bolts to 14 Nm (124 lb in).

CAUTION: Do not over tighten bolts or damage to the oil pan will occur, resulting in an oil leak.

3. Connect the oil level sensor connector.
