Troubleshooting Hints

1. Check RDO IGN and RDO BAT Fuses by visual inspection.
2. Before troubleshooting a suspect Speaker, check all connections to that Speaker.
3. For proper noise diagnosis, take the car outside where signals are strong. Close the hood, and keep away from metal buildings or sources of Radio interference.
4. To isolate a circuit generating noise, pull each fuse in the Fuse Block. To further isolate the noise source, disconnect each component in the suspect circuit.
5. Ignition noise on FM may indicate a defective ignition system.
6. Coated screws or bolts can cause a poor ground connection. Scrape ground screws or bolts clean of any paint or varnish.
7. Adjusting Radio controls will change the operation of the sound system. Consult the Delco Sound Service Guide for information regarding the operation of these controls.
