SHUDDER AND/OR VIBRATION ON ACCELERATION FROM A STANDING START (INSTALL NEW CRANKSHAFT PULLEY)

1992 ACHIEVA WITH (VIN N) ENGINE


CONDITION:
Some early production 1992 Achieva's with 3300 (VIN N) engine may exhibit a shudder and/or vibration from a standing start.

CORRECTION:
This condition may be corrected by changing the engine balance characteristic with the installation of a new crankshaft pulley, P/N 24501985 which is currently available from GMSPO. This new pulley was introduced into production on November 12, 1991 beginning with vehicle number NM400215.

The new crankshaft pulley can significantly reduce shudder and vibration on acceleration from a standing start.
