Exhaust Manifold:

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Exhaust manifold and new gaskets.

Tightening Sequence:

2. Exhaust manifold to cylinder head retaining nuts. Follow the tightening sequence and tighten to 42 Nm (31 lbs. ft.).

Exhaust Manifold Brace:

3. Exhaust manifold brace to manifold bolt and torque to 54 Nm (40 lbs. ft.).
4. Raise vehicle.

Exhaust Manifold To Pipe:

5. Index exhaust manifold bolts into exhaust pipe flange.
6. Using a 5.5 mm (7/32") socket start both nuts. Rotate counterclockwise (as if loosening a right hand thread nut, or installing a nut with left hand threads).
- Turn both nuts in evenly to avoid cocking the exhaust pipe and binding the nuts. Turn nuts in until fully seated.
7. Lower vehicle.
8. With a 13 mm wrench, tighten the manifold to exhaust pipe nuts to 26 Nm (19 lbs. ft.).

Exhaust Manifold Heat And Shields:

9. Upper heat shield.
10. Oxygen sensor connector
11. Start engine inspect for exhaust leaks.
