Valve Block
VALVE BLOCK ASSEMBLYREMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Depressurize hydraulic accumulator by applying and releasing the service brake pedal a minimum of 25 times using approximately 222 N (50 lbs.) force on the pedal. A noticeable change in pedal feel will occur when the accumulator is completely discharged.
3. Remove return hose and drain brake fluid reservoir into suitable container and discard fluid.
4. Brake lines from valve block assembly.
5. Electrical connector.
Valve Block Removal:
6. Three nuts and washers as marked by an *in figure.
7. Valve block assembly and 0-rings by sliding valve block off of studs.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Lubricate 0-rings with brake fluid.
2. Valve block and 0-rings onto master cylinder body.
Valve Block Removal:
3. Three washers and nuts to 25 Nm (18 lb. ft.) as marked by an * in figure.
4. Electrical connector.
5. Brake lines.
6. Refill with brake fluid.
7. Negative battery cable.
8. Bleed hydraulic system.
