CONDITION:
Some owners of 1985-91 Eighty Eight, Ninety Eight, Toronado And 1990-91 Silhouette models may comment about a squeak or squawk noise coming from the front of the vehicle in or near the front wheels. This condition may be caused by insufficient grease on the lip seal of the hub assembly.

CORRECTION:
Disconnect the Hub Assembly following the service manual "On-Vehicle Service" procedure for front suspension in Section 3C. Lubricate the Hub and Seal area with GM1052497 grease. Fill the cavity between the seal and bearing.

Note:
For 1992 model vehicles, this condition has been eliminated with the introduction of a new Hub Assembly design, which requires no lubrication.
