Partial Hose Replacement

Follow the same removal procedure as for "Complete Hose Replacement" except:
1. Only remove the crimped metal band closest to the damaged portion of hose.
2. Squarely cut off the damaged section of hose and remove from fitting.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. New section hose with the same inside diameter and cut 13 mm (1/2") shorter than the removed section.
2. Proper size splicer fitting kit between remaining section of hose and install the other end of hose on the fitting.
3. Align fittings so that there will be no twist in the hose when it is installed.
4. Special screw-type service clamps, (2) at a splice and one at a fitting, so that locator lug is positioned on the hose end. Tighten to 4.5 Nm (40 lbs. in.).
5. New 0 rings.
6. Hose assembly.
7. Partially charge the system and perform a leak test before completely recharging.
