The service procedure for the Cutlass Ciera, "A-38" style, rear seat back-to-back window trim finishing panel assembly was omitted from the Seat Section (9A) of the 1987 Body Service Manual..

The following service procedure has been provided and should be used as reference when a trim panel is removed or installed.

FIGURE 1:

SERVICE PROCEDURE

Remove or Disconnect (Figure 1)

1. Retaining tabs on underside of stowage compartment (not shown)

2. Center high mounted stop lamp cover and lamp assembly (3). See Section 7 of the Body Service Manual.

3. Rear seat cushion and back

4. Left and right quarter trim panels

5. Speaker grilles, if present

6. Screws (2), if present

7. Retainer (4), if present

8. Trim panel to seat back adhesive bond (5)

9. Rear seat back to back window trim panel (1)

Install or Connect

1. Rear seat back to back window trim panel (1)

2. Trim panel to seat back (5). Use nonstaining adhesive.

3. Retainer (4)

4. Screws (2)

5. Speaker grilles

6. Quarter trim panels
7. Rear seat cushion and back

8. Lamp assembly and cover

9. Retaining tabs.
