DEALER ACTION
To correct this condition on vehicles involved, the instrument panel cluster will require inspection for the presence of the "Unleaded Fuel Only" warning.
If the warning is not present, an "Unleaded Fuel Only" decal must be installed as described in the Service Procedure section of this bulletin.
Since decals can be installed very easily and because we do not want to cause owners unnecessary inconvenience, "Unleaded Fuel Only" decals are being furnished directly to affected owners of record. Owners may install the decal personally or they may request dealer assistance for installation.
If requested, dealers are to perform this recall campaign on affected vehicles at no charge to the owner regardless of time, mileage, or ownership. In addition, dealers are to correct all affected vehicles in dealer new and used car inventory prior to their sale..
Whenever a vehicle subject to this campaign is taken into your used car inventory in the future, you should take the steps necessary to be sure the campaign correction has been made before reselling the vehicle.

For your convenience we have enclosed a decal should it be required. If your car was assembled without the "Unleaded Fuel Only" warning, you may install the decal yourself or take it to an Oldsmobile dealer for installation at no charge to you.
Inspection and decal installation instructions are as follows:

Should you choose to have an Oldsmobile dealer install the decal, please contact your dealer to arrange a mutually satisfactory service date to have this correction performed. Take the enclosed decal with you. The labor time to perform this correction is approximately 5 minutes. Please allow additional time for the dealer to process your vehicle.
The enclosed owner reply card identifies your vehicle. When you install the "Unleaded Fuel Only" decal or if you have sold or traded your vehicle, please let us know by completing the postage paid owner reply card and returning it to us.
