Rear Window Defogger And Door Mirror Defogger Do Not Operate

REAR WINDOW DEFOGGER AND DOOR MIRROR DEFOGGER DO NOT OPERATE.

Diagnosis Procedure

Regarding Wiring Diagram information, [1][2]Electrical Diagrams.

1. CHECK REAR WINDOW DEFOGGER SWITCH

Check rear window defogger switch.
Rear Window Defogger Switch.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 2
NO- Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.

2. CHECK REAR WINDOW DEFOGGER RELAY

Check rear window defogger relay.
Rear Window Defogger Relay.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 3
NO- Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.

3. CHECK FUSES

Check if any of the following fuses in fuse block (J/B) are blown.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 4
NO- If fuse is blown, be sure to eliminate cause of malfunction before installing new fuse.

4. CHECK REAR WINDOW DEFOGGER POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT

1.Turn ignition switch ON.
2.Check voltage between fuse block (J/B) connector and ground.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 5
NO- Replace fuse block (J/B).

5. CHECK REAR WINDOW DEFOGGER POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT

Check rear window defogger power supply and ground circuit.
Rear Window Defogger Power Supply And Ground Circuit.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 6
NO- Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.

6. CHECK DOOR MIRROR DEFOGGER

Check door mirror defogger.
Both Doors Mirror Defogger Do not Operate But Rear Window Defogger Operates.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- Check intermittent incident. Intermittent Incident.
NO- Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.
