Odometer Replacement Procedure
NOTE:Use appropriate covers to protect the steering wheel/column and surrounding instrument panel components during the replacement procedure.
1. Install the instrument cluster and all previously removed parts in the reverse order that they were removed, making sure the wire harness connectors are securely snapped together and locked into position.
WARNING:
^ Make sure you tighten the steering column mounting nuts to: 11 24 ft lbs (1.5 - 1.9 kg-m, 15 - 19 N-m)
^ Make sure you tighten the knee bolster mounting bolts to: 4.5 ft-lbs, 53.8 in-lbs (6.1 N-m, 0.62 kg-m)
2. Adjust the steering wheel to its original position.
3. Re-connect the vehicle battery.
4. Re-program all radio station presets.
5. If the vehicle is equipped with a sunroof, re-set the sunroof memory as follows:
^ Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
^ Press and hold the sunroof "Tilt" button (see Figure 15) in the tilt down position for more than 1 second to re-set the sunroof memory.
^ Operate the sunroof to confirm it functions properly.
