SERVICE INFORMATION

If the ignition switch is turned quickly when starting some Sentra vehicles equipped with ABS, the ABS warning light may remain on after the engine has started. If this should occur, ask the customer to stop the engine and restart the vehicle by slowly turning the ignition switch -- the light should go out. If the warning light remains on after this procedure, the ABS system and warning light circuit will require diagnosis.

A diagnostic code 16 will be set when this incident occurs.
