SERVICE INFORMATION

When installing an Altima A/C system, special care must be taken when installing the A/C button to ensure that the control head is not damaged. Follow the instructions in the installation manual carefully. The instructions are reprinted below, with extra clarification.





Move the temperature slider to the center of its travel. NOTE: Do not attempt to remove the temperature slider. The face of the control head will come off around the temperature slider. The fan knob will come off as the face is removed. Remove the face of the control head by releasing all tabs and gently, prying the face off. Refer to the illustration.

Remove the A/C switch blind plug, install the A/C button, and continue the A/C installation as shown in the instructions.



REMEMBER THESE IMPORTANT POINTS

^ Center the temperature slider.

^ Do not attempt to remove the temperature slider or it will break.

^ Do not attempt to remove the fan knob except by removing the face of the control head, or the knob will break.
