For troubleshooting the Altima Remote Keyless Entry system, a tester has been shipped to each Dealer (and can be ordered from Kent-Moore [J39857-A] ). This tester is designed to check the Remote Keyless Entry wiring harness and components. Complete each step in the following Testing Procedure to check for proper system operation. For your convenience, a wiring diagram is also provided.

TESTING PROCEDURE





Connect the adaptor harness to the tester. Disconnect the keyless entry control module (see illustration) and connect the tester to the keyless entry harness. Proceed with test by following the chart.



















If the correct results listed above are not achieved, please refer to the following flow charts for further testing. Reconnect the control module and follow the first flowchart which will direct you to specific tests as necessary.
