ALTIMA DOOR TRIM PANEL REMOVAL
APPLIED MODELS:
All 1993 Altima with power windows
SERVICE INFORMATION
To avoid possible damage to the door trim on the Applied Models listed above, use the trim removal procedure described below.
1. Make sure the window is down.
2. Remove the door handle escutcheon by pushing down behind its edge with a plastic tool, at the point shown above. (Pry tool P/N J39910 is available from Kent-Moore at 1-800-345-2233). Pull the door handle out and slide the escutcheon off the door trim panel.
3. Loosen power window switch by prying with a plastic tool at the location shown in the illustration. Note: The power window switch cannot be removed as it is connected by a harness. Using a Phillips screw driver or 10 mm socket, remove the screw behind the window switch.
4. After removing the trim panel cover, remove the screw indicated above.
5. Remove the three screws from the bottom of the trim panel.
6. Release trim clip using a plastic tool.
7. Remove door trim panel.
1. Make sure window is down.
2. Remove the door handle escutcheon by pushing down behind its edge with a plastic tool, at the point shown above. Pull the door handle out and slide the escutcheon off the door trim panel.
3. Insert a plastic pry tool at the point shown above and gently pry the main switch out of the door panel. (Prying at other points on the main switch will likely cause damage.)
4. Remove screw cap, then remove Phillips screw.
5. Remove the three screws at the bottom of the door trim panel.
6. Release trim clip and remove the door trim panel.

The power window switch can be removed from retaining clips, but cannot be removed from door until the trim panel is removed.
3. Remove screw cap and screw indicated above.
4. Remove trim clip by prying with a plastic tool.
5. Remove door trim panel.
