Ignition Coil: Service and Repair

Removing Balance Tube:

REMOVAL

1. Remove the intake manifold balance tube.
NOTE: The o-rings can be re-used if not damaged upon removal.

Removing Ignition Coils:

2. Disconnect the ignition coil connector.
3. Remove the ignition coil fasteners and remove the coil.

INSTALLATION

1. Apply a small amount of di-electric compound to the inside of the ignition coil boots.
2. Reinstall the ignition coil and tighten the fasteners.
3. Reinstall the balance tube and tighten the fasteners.
