Ignition Coil: Service and Repair

Ornament Cover:

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect and remove air duct and hoses.
2. Remove ornament cover.
Do not remove accelerator cable.
3. Disconnect the harness connector between the power transistor and the ignition coil.

Ignition Coil Bracket:

4. Remove the ignition coil bracket fasteners.
5. Remove the ignition coil from the spark plug with a twisting and pulling motion.

INSTALLATION
1. Apply a small amount of di-electric compound to the inside of the spark plug boots.
2. Reinstall the ignition coils and tighten the fasteners.
3. Connect the harness connector between the power transistor and the ignition coil.
4. Install ornament cover.
5. Connect and remove air duct and hoses.
6. Remove ornament cover.
