GLOVE BOX/HOOD SEAL INSTALLATION CHANGES

APPLIED MODELS: 1990 Sentra, 1989-1990 Pulsar NX

SERVICE INFORMATION

The installation procedure for Air Conditioning Kit, P/N B7000-84A00, onto the Applied Models listed above has been modified in two specific areas. These are:

^ 1989-1990 Pulsar NX - hood seal installation has been modified
^ 1990 Sentra - Glove box removal has been modified

The modified installation procedures for these models is lised below.

A. Glove Box Removal [1990 Sentra]

The 1990 Sentra has a different style glove box than the 1989 model. The new glove box should be removed in the following manner:

FIGURE 1:

1. Remove the 8 retaining screws and disconnect the glove box lamp and switch harness (Figure 1).

2. Slide the glove box out from the dash.
3. Pull the rubber molding away from the glove box finisher panel.
4. Remove the 3 screws and 3 bolts from the finisher panel and pull the panel out.

B. Hood Seal Installation [l989-1990 Pulsar NX]

1. Locate the hood seal bumper notch (Figure 2).

Note: 1990 Sentra & 1989-1990 Pulsar NX Air Conditioning systems, P/N B7000-84A00, have this notch.

2. Do not install the hood seal as shown in the installation manual (Figure 3). Install the seal with the indicated opening to the front, as shown below (Figure 4).
