Starter Motor: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. On 1991-92 models, remove air intake duct.
3. On all models, disconnect starter wiring from starter.
4. Remove starter retaining bolts and the starter.
5. Reverse procedure to install, torque starter motor mounting bolts to 23-31 ft. lbs.
