Installation
1. Using suitable blocks, face cylinder assembly upward.
2. Insert two pins, then coat gasket with clean refrigerant oil.
3. Position gasket and suction valve plate in order listed and ensure that three valves of suction valve plate are aligned with cylinder and gasket cutouts.
4. Align shaft seal with shaft cutaway and seat seal firmly at land. Attempt to turn seal to left and right to check for proper seating.
5. After coating new gasket with clean refrigerant oil, place gasket on cylinder head and align front end cover.
6. Fit gasket to front end cover, then slide shell over cylinder assembly.
7. Align two holes of side cover with those of cylinder head. Ensure proper alignment as later adjustment will not be possible.
8. Turn over assembled shell and cylinder assembly so that front faces downward.
9. Coat oil pipe and O-ring with copious amount of clean refrigerant oil and insert oil pipe at rear of cylinder.
10. Install rear end cover, side cover, shaft seal, and clutch as previously described.
11. Fill compressor with new refrigerant oil and install oil plug and gasket, torquing plug to 13-14 ft. lbs.
