Power Brake Assist: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. Remove master cylinder as previously described.
2. Disconnect brake booster at brake pedal.
3. Disconnect check valve hose at power booster.
4. Disconnect vacuum hose(s), if equipped.
5. Remove booster attaching bolts and/or nuts and the booster.




INSTALLATION

Fig. 16 Adjusting brake booster input rod length.:

Fig. 17 Brake booster input and output rod length specifications chart. 1984:

1. Adjust input length B, Fig. 16, to specifications, Fig. 17, by turning clevis pin.
2. Reverse removal procedure to install.
