Fog/Driving Lamp: Adjustments
FOG LIGHT AIMINGAIMING ADJUSTMENT
Set the following vehicle conditions before adjusting the aim.
- Check to make sure the tire pressure is set to specifications.
- Remove the vehicle load and place the car in a level place.
- Have one person (weighing about 55 kg) sit in the driver's seat.
- Maintain engine revolutions at 2,000 rpms to charge the battery.
1. Set so that the center of the tester focusing lens and the center of the lamp face each other as shown at a distance of 10 meters (33 ft.).
NOTE:
- Measure the center of the fog lamp as shown.
Dimension A: 630 mm (24.8 in.) (from vehicle center)
Dimension B: 360 mm (14.2 in.)
2. Adjust the light with the adjusting screw so that the deviation of the main light axis meets the standard values.
NOTE: The light is not adjustable in the left/right direction. Check to make sure there are no defective parts in the attachment section when the deviation of the main light axis exceeds standards values.
CAUTION:
1. For the unadjusted lamp, detach the connector if possible and adjust while the lamp is not lit. Take care not to alter the optical axis when connecting the connector. If the lens surface is covered with a shade, limit the lighting time to three minutes or less.
2. Do not mask the outer lens surface with tape or other materials.
3. Always finish by tightening the adjusting screw.
