Introduction to Keyless Entry System Diagnosis

When the receiver in the ETACS-ECU receives a radio signal from the transmitter, the door lock/unlock control is operated. When doors are locked, the dome light and turn signals will flash twice when doors are unlocked, the dome light will come on and dim after 15 seconds, and the turn signals flash four times.
If the following type of symptom occurs, there may be a fault.
- All the doors cannot be locked or unlocked when the transmitter is operated.
- All of the doors could be locked or unlocked by operating the transmitter but the dome light and turn signals do not flash or turn on.
- The secret code cannot be registered.
