With Scan Tool

CAUTION: To prevent damage to scan tool MB991502, make sure that the ignition switch is "OFF" before connecting or disconnecting the scan tool.

Check the input signal from the theft alarm system input switch, using either the scan tool or a voltmeter.




- Using scan tool MB991502
1. Connect scan tool MB991502 to the data link connector.
2. When the following switches are turned on and off, does the tone alarm sound? If the tone alarm sounds, the switches are normal.
- key reminder switch
- Hood switch
- Door switch
- Door lock actuator switch
- Trunk lid latch switch
- Door lock key cylinder switch
- Trunk lid lock key cylinder switch
If the tone alarm does not sound, the switch is faulty. Follow the symptom chart.
