Fluid Filter - A/T: Service and Repair

OIL FILTER REPLACEMENT





Required Special Tool: MB991610: Oil filter wrench

1. Use the special tool (MB991610) to remove the automatic transaxle oil filter.
2. Clean the transaxle case side mounting surface.





3. Apply a small amount of A/T fluid to the O-ring of the new oil filter.

4. Screw in the oil filter by hand, and after the O-ring contacts the frame surface, tighten it with special tool (MB991610). Approximately 3/4 turn or 12 Nm (106 inch lbs.).

5. Check the quantity of the A/T fluid.
