BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Some affected vehicles may have a steering drift condition (tendency to drift to one side) when the steering wheel is released. The drift could be to the left or the right side of the road.
Steering drift may be caused by incorrect tire inflation or incorrect wheel alignment (camber). On affected vehicles, it may be necessary to change the camber angle to up to 1.5 degrees per wheel.
The flowchart in this bulletin contains diagnosis steps for correcting steering drift on affected vehicles.
