REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
INSTALLATION SERVICE POINTS
]A[ INTAKE MANIFOLD INSTALLATION
1. Tighten the nuts "R" to 6.4 Nm (56 inch lbs.).
2. Tighten the nuts "L" to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 21 Nm (16 ft. lbs.)
3. Tighten the nuts "R" to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 21 Nm (16 ft. lbs.)
4. Tighten the nuts "L" to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 21 Nm (16 ft. lbs.)
5. Tighten the nuts "R" to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 21 Nm (16 ft. lbs.)
]B[ INJECTOR INSTALLATION
CAUTION: Use care not to let engine oil enter the fuel rail.
1. Lubricate the rubber O-ring with a drop of new engine oil for easy installation.
2. Insert the injector into the fuel rail.
3. Make sure the injector turns smoothly. If not, the O-ring may be caught. Remove the injector and check its O-ring for damage, then re-insert it and confirm that it turns smoothly.
4. Rotate the injector until the projection of the injector connector is aligned with the fuel rail mating mark.
]C[ FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR INSTALLATION
CAUTION: Do not let engine oil enter the fuel rail.
1. Lubricate the O-ring with a drop of new engine oil for easy installation.
2. Insert the fuel pressure regulator into the fuel rail.
3. Make sure the regulator turns smoothly. If not, the O-ring may be caught. Remove the regulator and check its O-ring for damage, then re-insert it into the fuel rail and confirm that it turns smoothly.
4. Tighten the two bolts to the specified torque.
Tightening Torque: 11 Nm (97 inch lbs.)
