Shift Lever Assembly Operation Check





After assembling the shift lever assembly, check the operation by the following procedure.

1. Check that the shift lever falls down by its own weight when it is moved in the shift direction (direction (a)).
2. Check that the shift lever returns smoothly to the neutral position by the action of the return spring when it is moved in the select direction (direction (b)).
3. Check that there is no play in the shift lever in direction (c) when lever A is fixed in place.
4. Check that there is no play in lever A in direction (d).
5. Check that there is no play in lever B in direction (e).
