Intake Air Plenum: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
Follow removal steps outlined in illustration.

Removal Service Point





Throttle Body Assembly Removal.
With the water hoses and vacuum hoses as fitted, remove from the intake manifold plenum.

INSTALLATION
Installation in reverse order as removal.

Installation Service Point
>A< Throttle Body Gasket Installation.
Install with the gasket protrusion positioned as shown.

CAUTION: If installed in an incorrect direction, idling failure or other problems may occur.

Post-installation Operation:
- Accelerator Cable Adjustment.

INSPECTION
Check the following points. Replace the part if a problem is found.
(1) Check intake manifold plenum for defect or cracks. Replace if defective or cracked.
(2) Check load (negative pressure) of drain port. Clean if required.
