Front Cross-Member Bushing: Service and Repair
REMOVALPre-removal Operation:

INSPECTION
- Check the crossmember for cracks or deformation.
- Check the bushings for cracks or deterioration.
- Check the right member for cracks or deformation.
- Check the left member for cracks or deformation.
BUSHING A AND B REPLACEMENT
Use the special tool to remove and press in bushings A and B.
Press in bushings A and B so that the arrows on their bottom surfaces may be directed in the crosswise direction (except those on No. 1 crossmember of FWD vehicles).
CAUTION Shifting of the arrow in the direction of rotation shall be within ±5° of the crosswise direction.
Press in bushings A and B so that the projecting amount of the inner sleeve agrees with the standard value.
CAUTION: When pressing in, apply a solution of soap and water to the sliding part of the bushings, and then press them in without stopping one after the other.
If there is a pause during the pressing operation, the frictional resistance will prevent installation.
INSTALLATION
Installation in reverse order as removal.

- Power Steering Fluid Air Bleeding
- Front Wheel Alignment Adjustment
- Transfer Oil Supplying (AWD Only)
