Control Module: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

CAUTION: Supplemental Restraint System (SRS): Be careful not to subject the Air Bag Control Unit (SRS-ECU) to any shocks during removal and installation of the transaxle control cable, key interlock cable, shift lock cable and selector lever assembly.

1. Remove air cleaner assembly.
2. Remove front floor console.
3. Follow removal steps outlined in illustration.

INSTALLATION
Installation in reverse order as removal.

NOTE: Installation service points as follows:





A. Nut installation. (6)
1. Put the selector lever in the "N" position.
2. Loosen the adjusting nut, gently pull the transaxle control cable in the direction of the arrow and tighten the nut.

NOTE: Operational steps after installation as follows:
1. Install air cleaner assembly.
2. Install front floor console.
