ERASING CRUISE CONTROL DTCS - SERVICE MANUAL REVISION

[TSB Revision TSB-97-17-003]

PURPOSE
Due to software changes in the cruise control ECU, the procedure for erasing cruise control diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) on affected vehicles has been changed. This bulletin contains the updated DTC erasure procedures.

Cruise control ECU part numbers for affected vehicles are the same as the old cruise control ECUs. The old and new ECUs can be identified by their labels as shown. The new label has bar codes.

Write the TSB revision number of this bulletin in the "TSB Revision" box at the bottom of the affected service manual pages.

1997 Mirage models produced after 12/10/96 equipped with cruise control
1997 Montero Sport models produced after 11/1/96 equipped with cruise control
