Alternator and Ignition System Exploded Views

1. Refer to the illustration for the service procedure.





2. Use the flywheel stopper tool No. MD998781, or equivalent, when installing/removing the crankshaft bolt.





3. When installing the camshaft position sensor support, apply Mitsubishi Genuine Part No. MD970389, or equivalent sealant, Form-In-Place Gasket (FIPG) to the area shown.
- Tighten the support to 13 Nm (9 ft. lbs.).
- Tighten the sensor to 9 Nm (7 ft. lbs.).
4. Reverse procedure to install, being sure to tighten the crankshaft pulley bolt to 177 - 186 Nm (130 - 137 ft. lbs.).
