Brake Switch (Cruise Control): Testing and Inspection

Connect an ohmmeter to the stop light switch and check whether or not there is continuity when the switch plunger is depressed and when released.
- There should be no continuity when the plunger is depressed to a depth of 4 mm. (0.16 inch)
For vehicles with cruise control, the continuity check should be made at terminals (a) and (b).
