A/C MICRO SWITCH INSTALLATION INFORMATION
PURPOSE
The dealer/port installed Mitsubishi Climate Control (MCC) air conditioner kit for the 1997 Galant includes a micro switch that controls the cycling of the air conditioner compressor during defrost mode. There is the possibility that this switch can be installed backwards. If this happens, the switch actuating arm will not make contact with the control panel mode selector cam and the compressor will not cycle properly in defrost mode.

PROCEDURE
IMPORTANT
Make sure to give a copy of this bulletin to any of your dealership technicians who might install a 1997 Galant MCC supplied air conditioner kit.
The air conditioner system micro switch can be installed backwards. When installing the MCC air conditioner kit into a 1997 Galant, refer to the illustration for mounting the micro switch. Make sure to install the switch onto the back of the control panel with the part number side facing outward, as shown.
