Coolant Line/Hose: Service and Repair

1. Drain the engine coolant.
2. Remove the air cleaner.
3. Remove the exhaust manifold.
4. Refer to illustration for the remaining procedure, noting the following:





- After making mating marks on the radiator hose and the hose clamp, disconnect the radiator hose.





- When installing the O-ring installation, insert the O-ring to the water inlet pipe, and coat the outlet circumference of the O-ring with water. By coating with water, the insertion to the water pump will become easier.

NOTE: Care must be taken not to permit engine oil or other greases to adhere to the O-ring.





- When installing the lower radiator hose, insert each hose as far as the projection of the water outlet fitting or water inlet fitting. Then, align the mating marks on the radiator hose and hose clamp, and connect the radiator hose.
