Blower Motor: Service and Repair




REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION




REMOVAL SERVICE POINT
CLIP REMOVAL
1. Use a cross-tip (+) screwdriver to push inward the pin (at the center of the clip) to a depth of about 2 mm (0.08 in.).
2. Pull the clip outward to remove it.

CAUTION: Do not push the pin inward more than necessary because it may damage the grommet or the pin may fall in, if pushed too far.




INSTALLATION SERVICE POINT
>A< CLIP INSTALLATION
1. With the pin pulled out, insert the clip into the hole.
2. Push the pin inward until the pin's head is flush with the grommet.

INSPECTION




BLOWER FAN AND MOTOR
When battery voltage is applied between the terminals, check to be sure that the motor operates. Also, check to be sure that there is no abnormal noise.




RESISTOR
Use a circuit tester to measure the resistance between the terminals as indicated below. Check to be sure that the measured value is at the standard value.
