Construction Diagram:
GENERAL INFORMATION
The Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) consists of wheel speed sensors, brake pedal switch, hydraulic unit and the ABS-ECU. If a problem occurs in the system, the malfunctioning system can be identified by means of the diagnostic function. This function retains a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC), this code will not be erased even if the ignition switch is turned to "OFF." In addition, reading of diagnostic trouble codes, service data and actuator testing are possible using the scan tool. The speed sensor is of the magnetic coil type with the front and rear ABS rotor having 43 teeth each.
