Test Conditions And Procedures
1. Perform a road test in a state where all of the following conditions are satisfied.
(1) Engine coolant temperature: 80°C (l76°F) or higher (Engine warm-up completed)
(2) Atmospheric temperature: 5°C (41°F) or higher
(3) ATX conditions:
- Selector lever position: D range
- Overdrive switch: ON
- Power/economy changeover switch: Power
2. One trip monitoring is completed by making a trip in the following pattern (from when the engine is started to when the ignition switch is placed in the OFF position). (Required time approx. 10 minutes)
*1: After the engine has completely warmed up, set the ignition switch to OFF.
*2: Start the engine and quickly accelerate it until the vehicle speed reaches any speed between 56 and 64 km/h (35 and 40 mph), continue to drive for more than 300 seconds and then stop the vehicle. Depressing the brake pedal or operating the throttle during the period does not present any problem.
*3: After the vehicle has come to a stop, run the engine at idle for more than 300 seconds and then set the ignition switch to OFF. Place the vehicle in the following conditions before running the engine at idle.
- A/C switch: OFF
- Lights, electric cooling fan and all accessories: OFF
- Transmission: Neutral (P range on ATX)
- Steering wheel: Straightforward position
