PURPOSE
This bulletin has information concerning a modified front strut assembly. Beginning in June, 1995 all Mirages with the 4G1 (1.5L) engine were equipped with a modified front strut. This strut incorporates a lower spring pad which the previous strut did not have. Also, the strut has a different top section which requires new disassembly and reassembly procedures as well as a new service tool.
Write the TSB revision number of this bulletin in the "TSB Revision" box at the bottom of each affected service manual page.
DETAILS
^ The front strut illustrations in the service manual do not show the lower spring pad. The pad is actually included in the strut assembly on all units produced beginning June, 1995. The pad should be added to the illustration.
^ The top mounting section of the struts used in production beginning June 1995 have a different shape. A new special tool and different service procedures are necessary for servicing the new style strut.

1995-96 Mirage equipped with the 4G1 (1.5L) engine produced beginning June, 1995.
