Removal and Replacement

Starter Motor - Removal And Installation:

WARNING: Disconnect battery ground cable before starting this procedure.

REMOVE
- Air cleaner
- On models with electronically controlled suspension, remove ECS compressor assembly.

1. Disconnect starter cables.
2. Remove starter mounting bolts, then the starter.

INSTALL
1. Starter motor
- Torque starter mounting bolts to 20-25 ft lb
2. Starter connector
- Air cleaner
