ABS Main Relay: Testing and Inspection

CONTINUITY CHECK
Check for continuity between the terminals of the relay with and without power as shown in the chart. The ABS motor relay results are assuming the normal temperature is 20� ± 15 °C (68° ± 27 °F).





MOTOR RELAY
No Current
- When there is no current between terminals No. 3 and No. 1, resistance is 74±25 ohms
- When there is no current between terminals No. 4 and No. 5, resistance is no continuity.

Current
- When there is current between terminals No. 3 and No. 1, resistance between terminals No. 4 and No. 5 is approximately 0 ohms.





VALVE RELAY
No Current
- When there is no current between terminals No. 2 and No. 5, resistance is 80 ± 25 ohms.
- When there is no current between terminals No. 3 and No. 6, no continuity should exist.
- When there is no current between terminals No. 3 and No. 1, resistance is approximately 0 ohms.

Current
- When there is current between terminals No. 2 and No. 5 no continuity should exist between terminals No. 3 and No. 1.
- When there is current between terminals No. 2 and No. 5 resistance between terminals No. 3 and No. 6 is approximately 0 ohms.
