Check Engine/Malfunction Indicator Lamp

DIAGNOSTIC TEST MODE
CHECK ENGINE/MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LAMP
If an abnormality occurs in any of the following items related to the Multiport Fuel Injection (MFI) system, the check engine/malfunction indicator lamp will illuminate.
If the lamp remains illuminated or if the lamp illuminates while the engine is running, check the diagnostic trouble code output.




CHECK ENGINE/MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LAMP INSPECTION ITEMS

CAUTION: Check engine/malfunction indicator lamp will come on even when terminal for ignition timing adjustment is grounded. Therefore, it is normal that the lamp comes on when terminal for ignition timing adjustment is grounded for ignition timing adjustment.
