With Generic Scan Tool

Scan Tool Connection:

1. Connect the scan tool to the data link connection
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
3. Take a reading of the diagnostic output.
4. Repair the problem location referring to the diagnostic chart.
5. After turning the ignition switch once to OFF turn it back to ON.
6. Erase the diagnostic trouble code.
7. Recheck to be sure that the condition is normal.
