Input Signal Inspection Points:

When Using The Scan Tool [MUT-II]
Using the scan tool, test to see if each switch in the front door control unit LH is functioning normally.
1. Connect the scan tool to the data link connector.
CAUTION: Connection and disconnection of the scan tool should always be made with the ignition switch in the OFF position.
2. Check if the scan tool buzzer sound once when the switches below are operated:
- Remote control mirror R/L change over switch
- Remote control mirror switch
- FR power window switch
- FL power window switch
- RR power window switch
- RL power window switch
- Power window lock switch
- Central door lock switch
3. If the buzzer sounds, the switch signal is being input into the ETACS control unit, and therefore that switch system and the data wire are normal. If neither happens, there is an abnormality in the switch or in the front door control unit LH inside circuit, so replace the front door control unit LH.

When Using A Voltmeter
Using a voltmeter, test to see if each switch in the front door control unit LH is functioning normally.
1. Connect the voltmeter between the ETACS terminal and the ground terminal which belong to data link connector.
2. Check if the needle on the voltmeter moves when the switches below are operated:
- Remote control mirror R/L change over switch
- Remote control mirror switch
- FR power window switch
- FL power window switch
- RR power window switch
- RL power window switch
- Power window lock switch
- Central door lock switch
3. It the needle moves, the switch signal is being input into the ETACS control unit, and therefore that switch system and the data wire are normal. If neither happens, there is an abnormality in the switch or in the front door control unit LH inside circuit, so replace the front door control unit LH.
